I was offered Dee Gordon for my Aramis Ramirez. I'm in a 5x5, auction roto league and although my team is rising, I am dead last in steals (thank you Ellsbury and Crawford). I have Youk coming off the DL soon, and I also have Hanley Ramirez and Mike Aviles, so I am not thin at 3B. Gordon worries me a bit but he can definitely steal bases. Would you give up ARam for him?

It's a fair trade, but I'd be worried about the loss of pop in your lineup by moving Ramirez. Gordon looks to be a 1-2 category guy, which is useful especially if you're last in a statistic. However, Ramirez could get 3-4 statistics if his average picks up. It's a fair trade, but think less about the position and more about what dip in statistics you could incur. Make the move if you still think you're fine.

Yeah, that's why I'm worried. I do think he's overvaluing Gordon but it seems like steals are really overvalued in my league right now.
I think it depends on how bad you need steals. Gordon will get you a lot more steals, but you would most likely be sacrificing runs, rbi's, home runs, and avg. So it just depends on what you need and what you're willing to sacrifice. I wouldn't do it unless I was desperate for stolen bases and dominating the others.
I would say no and replace Pennington with Aviles on your roster. I have no idea what he has done this year but IMO if only want to own either weeks, reddick or cespedes from that lineup. Wheats available in the 3B and SS departments on waivers?
dee gordon sucks and is a strong candidate to be optioned. he could hit (not hit) his way out of the majors. or his defense might get him booted from the majors. or both.
this guy is so overrated. find steals without destroying your average. and there's an opportunity cost for starting gordon. and he might not even be in the majors in a month.
i say stay away.
edit: also, i think 3B has been pretty horrible this year even with wright and encarnacion tearing it up so far.
