Sell High on Beltran? WHIP

Postby Osubball131 » Wed May 16, 2012 2:25 pm

Just got offered Roy Halladay for my Carlos Beltran and need pitching help. 15 team roto keeper, Halladay would not warrant holding onto next year for his price but Beltran might be for $14. Pull the trigger and upgrade my pitching?

As always, WHIP

I would do that, yeah. It's not everyday an ace gets offered to you for a decent OF playing a bit above his head. That's a great Cardinals lineup, but there's also a lot of mouths to feed (especially if Craig keeps raking).

Take Halladay.

i dont do this trade. beltran is on a tear and is showing no signs of slowing down, mets players usually have there best years leaving the mets just to point out.

Halladay is declining and has shown signs this year, his simple just not as good as he use to be, and the phillies are not the team they use to be, he has gotten no run support.

but also idk what your team looks like so it might be a move you have to make....

Considering he seems to get injured every year and the fact that even a declining Halladay is better than most of the pitchers are out there. I do this trade 9/10. The 10th time? Depends on what my outfield looks like...

I'd say this is selling high, so I'd do the deal.
