Which OF for second half of season?

Postby ron paul for pres » Mon May 14, 2012 6:50 pm

12 team, H2H, 5x5, non-keeper

This spot is basically as an insurance policy in case one of my guys (cough.. Hamilton) gets hurt at some point. Assuming I don't plan on him playing for a while, who would be best in the second half?

Michael Morse
Allen Craig
Mike Trout
Bryce Harper

Current roster:

C - Carlos Ruiz
1B - Prince Fielder
2B - Ian Kinsler
3B - Miguel Cabrera
SS - Asdrubal Cabrera
OF - Josh Hamilton
OF - Carlos Beltran
OF - Jay Bruce
DH - Alex Rodriguez
BN - Austin Jackson
BN - Mike Aviles
BN - Billy Butler

SP - Strasburg
SP - Cueto
SP - Garza
SP - Dempster
SP - Anibal Sanchez
SP - Lance Lynn
SP - Johan Santana
SP - Matt Moore
SP - Neftali Feliz
SP - Ross Detwiler
RP - Axford
RP - Putz
RP - Henry Rodriguez
DL - Storen

I like them in the exact order you listed them in--Harper will have the least impact of all those guys the rest of this season. Morse will need to get his legs under him, but should be running on all cylinders by early July (he'll be back before then, but I'm saying he won't be BACK until early July).
(In reference to an Aaron Hill for David Price swap)

I go Morse all the way, he will be raring to go and rested, he may take a few weeks to get back into the swing of things but I would mos def go with him. Harper and Trout are nice but since its not a keeper go Morse, good luck

Morse seems like the best stash. I would be higher on Craig if I knew he had an everyday spot when everyone's healthy.

Trout would be better then Harper for this season.
