Lance Lynn

Postby jdh2 » Mon May 14, 2012 2:34 pm

I play in a 10 team H2H league w/ a standard scoring setup. Lance Lynn has RP eligibility, and I'd love to trade for him so that I can roll with Samardzija & Lynn as my relief pitchers. I'm new to fantasy baseball & I'm trying to understand the value of a dual eligibilty pitcher like Lynn...What would I have to give up to get him? Any help would be much appreciated! My roster currently looks like this:

C: Wieters
1B: Votto
2B: Kelly Johnson
3B: Beltre
SS: Cabrera
OF: McCutchen, Victorino, Heyward
U: Craig
Bench: Aviles, Altuve, Ryan Howard, Carlos Lee

SP: Billingsly, Halladay, Kennedy, Bumgardner, Zimmerman
RP: Samardzija, League
Bench: Nathan

Lynn's owner's roster:
C: Molina
1B: Texiera
2B: Ackley
3B: Lawrie
SS: Castro
OF: Austin Jackson, Prado, Swisher
U: Konerko
Bench: Russell Martin, Carlos Pena, Francouer, Chris Young

SP: Kershaw, Jason Hammel, Latos, Lee, Price
RP: Lynn, Perez
Bench: Wainright

I am not sure I would do this but it would probably take a closer and a SP to get it done. I am not sure I believe in Lynn enough to do that.

This. You're buying high. You would likely have to give up much more than he'd bring back. Email the manager though. See what he'd want. It's always worth the conversation.

i just traded lynn for kimbrel when lynn was 5-0. his value should be down a lil bit as the braves got to him a lot yesterday which is good for you.

i would offer nathan or league see if that can get it done as i dont think your going to win many save cats.

Another owner has offered me Jim Johnson for Ryan Howard straight up. I have Votto at 1B, so at best Howard would be a utility man on my roster when he returns. Should I consider doing this, or is Howard too steep a price for a relief pitcher?

Could Howard potentially fetch Lynn? Again, is that something you would recomend against?
