Can I Deal Ellsbury? WHIR

Postby pcm4 » Mon May 14, 2012 2:19 pm

I'm in a 10 team H2H non keeper league. I've been thinking about dealing Ellsbury because I don't think he will hit for as much power when he comes back which diminishes his value and because I want to upgrade my pitching staff. However this question isn't about the merits of any deal I might do, but rather if my team can take the speed hit in the long run. Right now I have been pretty successful in steals with the 3rd highest total in the league and I have only lost the category once so far. That being said almost all of my steals have come from the combination of Bonifacio and Bourn. Pedroia and Bruce have contributed a few and I got one from Josh Willingham (lol). No one else on my team has stolen a base thus far so I won't bother posting the rest of my roster. Can I count on these guys providing me with enough steals over the course of the season barring injury or should I hold onto Ells? Am I too dependent on two guys for my speed? Thoughts? Leave a link.

i think bonifacio and bourn can handle it them selves, they could have a combo of something like 150 steals.

I would be just fine with those two getting you most of your SB #. So move Ellsbury without worries.

Bonifacio and Bourn will probably be 1-2 in steals this year if I had to pick any 2 guys. You will be fine with those 2
