any thoughts? Obviously Hamilton is insane right now, but Votto is heating up and is steady as she goes.

for alot of teams I'd say stick with the steadier, healthier option in Votto, but in your situation w Tex @ U, I think this makes your lineup better making the trade

I would stick with Votto. Hamilton's numbers are insane, but he will get hurt guaranteed.

The last time Hamilton went off like this was also a contract year. If it's a redraft league it may be worth the risk, if it's a keeper I go Votto all the way.

take hamilton! his trying to get paid and is really just so good! texas is trying to get him to calm down on the basepath and field not diving and sliding as much, which have casued all his injuries could be gone soon.

Personally I think I would do this trade....You could use the power in your outfield. If Texeira turns it around you could insert him in there or even find somone or make another trade. I think it is easier to find a good 1st baseman than a stud outfielder Just my opinion.

The same can be said for Teixeria, who would slide into 1B nicely.
Good deal to me.

Take Hamilton, Votto is steady and Hamilton probably will get hurt, but I will still go for Hamilton

I always think when Healthy Hamilton is as good as any hitter in the game, but staying healthy over the years is why we got a discounted price on him this year. I think it makes sense for you to take Hamilton in this trade since you have Tex. You could probably use the OF help too so it makes sense. Votto has been steady all year long and yesterday the doubles turned into some home runs (finally!).

I would hate giving up Votto, as anybody would, but this makes a lot of sense for your team.
