Bell, Reed, Fuentes or other FA

Postby Lionsno20 » Sun May 13, 2012 7:19 pm

12 team, head-to-head, 6x6, re-draft, pitching categories are era, whip, k, w, sv, hld

I recently traded Kenley Jansen for Y.Gallardo and am looking to add a closer/setup man for svs and or holds. My current relievers are Clippard, Venters, Marshall and Castilla.

Options off the waiver wire/fa list include Bell, Reed, Fuentes, Dolis, Holland, Walden, Cishek, Frieri, Byrdak, Grilli, Mujica,Sipp, Wilhelmsen. Who should I pick-up? I like Frieri for his k's, but will he see saves? Thoughts on the best bet going forward?

Thanks for the help. Post a link and I'll try to comment on yours (although I'm a bit of a newbie)

I don't really know and I think it is at best a coin flip right now between most of these. Fuentes has the job but it is unlikely to be very pretty. So if you want saves but don't care about anything else then he is your guy. Bell will likely be a closer again, they didn't pay all that money for a middle relief guy but I wouldn't touch him. I would probably take the chance on Reed and hope he gets the job at some point.
