Two Huge Trade Considerations

Postby RJCAL » Sun May 13, 2012 4:12 pm

Which if either of these trades would you make? Before reviewing trades - Team A has absolutely no stud pitchers.

Trade 1:
Team A trades away Kemp & Hosmer
Team B trades away Cain & Shin Soo Choo

Trade 2:
Team A trades away Sabathia & Votto
Team B trades away Hamilton & J Upton

Trade 1 is absolutely horrendous for team A. If Kemp is traded for a pitcher it better be an absolutely elite pitcher. Hosmer has way more upside than Choo

trade 2 is interesting. Hamilton and Upton has the better upside....but they also both carry huge risks. Sabathia and Votto are much safer bets and very good players. You could make a debate for either side being better

Agreed. Trade one could easily be vetoed depending on if your league does that kind of thing. It is that bad. Trade 2 is fair. I would rather have the Hamilton side but I could see either one being good for either team.
