Struggling to make room for Berkman

Postby outsideoftime » Sun May 13, 2012 1:24 pm

8 team Yahoo 12 cat (BB for hitters, HLD for pitchers)
h2h keeper

I'm middle of the pack in the standings with some bad luck early on.
I have Jacoby Ellsbury and Lance Berkman (1B/OF) on my DL and I'm struggling to find a spot for Lance.
I just dropped Mariano Rivera last week

I have to drop or move somebody in order to get Lance activated. Also I have high interest in Kyle Seager who is SS eligible and available in my league. But that would mean dropping Gordon and ? Should I? Should I hold tight?

C Joe Mauer
1B Paul Konerko
2B Allen Craig (he's 2B/1B/OF eligible so far)
SS Hanley Ramirez
3B David Freese
MI Dee Gordon <--- yikes
CI Brett Lawrie
OF Carlos Gonzalez
OF Matt Holliday
OF Josh Reddick
OF Corey Hart

Bench- 2B/OF Ben Zobrist, OF B.J. Upton (both guys I bought low on in trades)

SP Stephen Strasburg
SP Cliff Lee
SP Yovani Gallardo (bought low on)
SP Jon Lester (bought low on)
SP Dan Haren
SP C.J. Wilson
SP Adam Wainwright (sitting him till he gets sorted)
SP Jake Peavy
SP Lance Lynn
SP Chris Sale (traded for when he was announced closer because Mariano Rivera got hurt that week)
RP Craig Kimbrel
RP Matt Capps
RP Addison Reed (picked up when Sale moved back to starter)
RP Jonny Venters (for holds and a Kimbrel handcuff)
RP Tyler Clippard (for holds)

I honestly dont see anyone I would drop on your team right now, except maybe one of your RP's that gets holds. If I was you, I would try real hard to work a 2 for 1 trade so you can free up a spot.

And no, I would not drop Dee Gordon. He still holds value b/c of his SB potential. At least try and include him in the 2 for 1 trade.

Gordon. Yes SB are great but he is going to be in danger of losing his job at some point. I don't see that BA getting better so outside of SB he will kill you in.

You have Zobrist in at MI and he's turning it around. He's good for 25 homers and 20 SB and a ba better about 30 pts than what he's shown.
