i couldn't pull the trigger a few weeks ago because he's so talented and i've always been a fan. but now's the time to move this guy, right? i feel it's a very difficult move but the right one.
what's his mkt value? any serious owner will discount his value b/c of injury and those types don't usually buy high. anyway, what caliber of player is appropriate in return?

Right now you could probably get anyone for Hamilton including Kemp, Braun etc. I wouldn't trade him for anything but a top three pick or maybe two top 15 players but I would trade him if I could get that. It's not his ability, he is as good as they come, but the fact that he is so likely to miss significant time with injury that would lead me to deal him.
If it helps you he was traded in one of my leagues yesterday for Verlander and Fielder. I love Hamilton but I'd be on that in a second. The sky is the limit right now so start shopping.
