Help!?! trade for Bonifacio/Lee + other advice [Always WHIR]

So it is definitely time for me to make at least one or two big moves to strengthen my squad. I was thinking of starting by targeting Bonafacio for sure...and if I can swing Lee in the deal too I would be thrilled.

Both guys are owned by the same person who is in 2nd to last place. So I am hoping he will be eager to make some sort of move if I can make it look good enough. BTW...he is looking for 1B, SP and RP....

I was thinking of trading him something like :

My: Napoli, Shields and Schafer.......for.......His: Bonafacio and Lee

Am I way off on that offer?

Also, with Gardner staying on the DL for another 3 to 4 weeks...is it time to drop Carpenter who will be back in late july now at the earliest?

There are several competent C on the WW and one that could be way more than that...and with SP...there are plenty of decent streaming options and still one or two guys that might be worth the gamble in hopes the turnaround in his stats and peripherals are here for good. But to not complicate this post too much I will keep this question purely for the trade and Carpenter issues.

I would make a run at that deal. I'm not a huge Shields fan. Last year's CGs were nice but he's not a guy whom I feel I know what I'm getting. I recently traded jarrod Parker for Bonifacio on a buy low. If u act soon u might catch the window for him still.

yea I like the deal, Lee is a great upgrade over Shields and you can put Bonifacio at 2B if Altuve falters, SS if Jeter shows his age, and you can start Jay or Cespedes as well

Trading from a strength is always good. with those 2 catchers id try to move one to upgrade elsewhere

I really like trading Shields for Lee. Shields is overrated IMO.

I would not trade Napoli. My suggetion is to trade Harper. I'm assuming this is a non keeper, I could not tell. If it is a non-keeper, I would dangle Harper. I think he will be OK this year, but not great. I think the other owner might bite on Harper. I agree with trying to get Bonafacio, you could use his steals as well as his run scoring ability.

I think you are paying too much with napoli. Catcher is a very shallow position. Instead you can try trade away one of your OF, you don't need three on your bench.

I completely agree with this, you are paying too much for Lee and Bonifacio. I would just try and trade one of your bench OF'ers for a SP to help give you depth.
