Walker/Willingham for R. Weeks/J. Montero WHIR

Postby clarkdp2 » Fri May 11, 2012 6:28 pm

I just made a trade offer

Give
N. Walker 2B
J.Willingham OF or possibly U. Jiminez is he does well tonight he may gain some trade value

Receive
R. Weeks 2B
J. Montero C

Is this a good trade for me? and is it a fair trade for the other person? Im trying to sell high on Willingham and possibly buy low on Weeks. The guy im trading with has Weiters, Pierzinski, and Montero so I feel like he is probably looking to get rid off a catcher seeing as he can only play 1 C and 1 Utility player a night.

My hope is to possibly flip Y. Molina to someone weak at catcher - say a W. Ramos/Soto owner

I like the idea of buying low on weeks, I think it is a fair trade. He could certainly lose a catcher and b ok

Yeah, seems pretty good to me. I think Montero's figuring out the big leagues quickly, and this is about the lowest price you're ever going to get on guys like him and Weeks. Seems like this dude has the freedom to deal Montero, and it seems like a pretty fair trade overall that also suits your needs. I would take it personally.

Hey thanks for the answer on mine, good to see a fellow Nats fan. This seems like a pretty fair trade, though it really depends on how good of a player you view Weeks as. I personally think hes too inconsistent and troublesome, but if your second base position needs improvement I would take it.
The only reason i could see for the other guy to decline it is that he has a pretty full outfield already. I'd just offer it and see what happens, maybe replacing Willingham w/ a starting pitcher if he declines. Hope i helped ;-D

Looks like a fair and solid deal to me. If he wants more I don't think Quentin would be a back breaker to include. I like it for Montero and Weeks could get it going soon.

Thanks for the input on mine
