I take it the first deal didn't go thru...

I'd still take this deal. Sale will be back in the rotation and that kid looks sharp!

I think I'd do it too. Hamilton will likely miss some time, he always does, but if he puts up gigantic numbers when he does play you'll love it. Verlander is a stud, and Sale is nowhere close to his talent, but he's got good stuff and has looked very good in the rotation so far.

Indeed. You have enough speed to get by, and you can always pick up a couple cheap steals. What you'll gain in power from Hamilton far outweighs what you'll "lose" in pitching stats... And even then, you can pick up a rotating string of spot starters to make up for it. Also, I like the "throw in" of guys like Chapman. He could go either way- as a starter, or closer if Marshall gets beat up.

But lets entertain the idea that you'll have the room to keep him active... Conservatively, he may get 4 innings of work for the week, *might* give up a run or so, strike out at LEAST 5, and possibly vulture a win. That's like adding a decent start each week.

The undervalued middle reliever becomes an added bonus.

Any thoughts on helping building my trade? ----> viewtopic.php?t=446727
