I'm in a position to trade for a closer, and I've been given my choice of the following three closers:

Rafael Betancourt
Fernando Rodney
Brett Meyers

Which one should I choose of the three for production for the remainder of THIS SEASON?

myers, i would say rodney but who knows what will happen when fransworth comes back.

Surprised by that response, doesn't Meyers have a pretty good chance of being traded to set up for a contender?

Would it be safe to say that Betancourt has the best job security?

I like Rodney and the Betancourt. Meyers is fine I just don't think Houston does much for him. Rodney would be the easy choice but I just don't know about Farnsworth.

myers has been rumored to be traded every year his been in houston and it hasnt happened yet.

Betancourt. I'll take the guy who's been solid for years and continues to be solid over the surprises & trade candidates.

Betancourt and it's not close.

Myers is tradebait/could end up in a set-up position, and while he pitches better as a reliever, the sample size is quite small to say anything with certainty.
Rodney is killing it right now, but Farnsworth is coming back as their closer.
Betancourt is entrenched as the COL closer with no real challenger, has fantastic peripherals and a long history of dominance in the reliever role.

Definitely Betancourt.
