If the Phils do give up on the season (I already have) they should instead try to move Halladay and/or Lee and sign Hamels with that money.

Cole is in his prime and should be around for a rebuild, while Doc and Lee only have so many years left. I think they both have no trade clauses, and make lots of cash, but they may accept a move to a contender, and they'd be just what a contender would need.

Can't believe the Four Horsemen will end up with zero rings. I was looking forward to Braves-like dominance, at least for a few years. Last fall I was joking with a friend about their regression in the postseason over the last three seasons. Told him one ace = WS title, and four aces = first round exit. Sorry Phils fans !+)

It's too bad the Phils didn't have Lee/Halladay back when they had one of the best lineups in baseball with a healthy Utley/Howard/Rollins/Werth/Victorino. And by "too bad" I mean HAHAHAH SUCK IT PHILLY FANS! :-D
