I'm in a 10 team 5x5 Roto non keeper league, currently in 9th place. My team has a ton of speed, not a whole lot of power and a lot of upside pitching, which so far has been solid.
I want to add a bat and am trying to buy slightly low on Adrian Gonzalez and sell Stephen Strasburg knowing his innings limit will eventually come into play down the road.
I would give up Stephen Strasburg and Brandon League I would get Adrian Gonzalez
My team: C. Buster Posey 1B. Chris Davis 2B. Jason Kipnis 3B. Pedro Alvarez SS. Hanley Ramirez MI: Dee Gordon CI: Kyle Saeger OF: Michael Bourn OF: Shane Victorino OF: Justin Upton OF: Colby Rasmus OF: Brandon Belt Util: Joe Mauer DL: Pablo Sandoval
SP: Strasburg Jon Lester Adam Wainwright Josh Johnson Johnny Cueto Johan Santana Bartolo Colon
RP:John Axford Jason Motte Grant Balfour Brandon League David Robertson
your getting a top 10 hitter for a top 10 pitcher(hitters always have higher value then pitchers) and a closer which i think only 2 closers to be untradeable is kimbrel and paps.
"They give you a round bat and they throw you a round ball. And they tell you to hit it square."-Willie Stargell
I would do this, too. A-Gonz would be a nice upgrade at UT/1B/CI. You can always play the WW for SP, and you will have to come late July anyways. Closers can be found on WW, too. League's replacement after he's traded for example - T Wilhelmsmen (sp?).
Absolutely do that. Not only is it a good trade on the face of it, but you'll have that open roster spot. In a 10 team league, I'm sure you'll be able to pick up a good pitcher, whether relief or starter, depending on what you need.
Great trade for you. Your only issue could be your closers. It's not as deep as it seems. Balfour may lose his job and Robertson is no guarantee to keep his. That being said I'd still do this and just wait for the next closer to fail and get their replacement if you need to.

+1
In a 10 teamer there should be plenty on the WW. your closers will be fine and A-Gon should be doing better after he gets Youk, Crawford and Elsbury back.
anyone else confused how someone who hits 40 hr at petco and 30+ almost every other year at petco only hit 27 in fenway? his start sucks this year too. he started slowly last year too, but this lack of power is really annoying me. i own him and do not consider him truly "elite" because of his inability to hit 30+ hr.
It's probably a good trade, but don't be so sure about that innings limit. If the Nats are chasing a pennant in September, no way Strasburg is getting shut down if his arm feels fine.
