Was this trade enough to Veto?

Hello everyone,
I am commish in a 12 team Standard H2H league ad yesterday a trade was vetoed sparking outrage. only 4 owners are needed to veto in Yahoo League vote setting. i didn't vote as commish.
The trade was
A-Rod
Salas
Nova

for
Johan Satanna
Javy Guerra

trade was accepted 2 days before demotion of Guerra. 4 dudes vetoed the day of Guerra's demotion. Considering when th trade was accepted, and even with the demotion i didn't and most of the league considered it a fair deal.
Any thoughts onthis. Veto's are so rare...... this seems wrongfully vetoed to me.

Nothing shady IMO - both guys tying to better their teams, and the bad news on Guerra after the fact is just crappy luck - it should have no bearing. Guerra is worth more than Salas and Nova combined, and A-Rod and Santana is kind of a wash, so it was really a pretty good deal. Guerra is just some other guy right now, but could get a shot at the job later, maybe not - either way, revisionist history in these cases has no place in the discussion IMO. What if someone traded Votto for Verlander and then two days after it was accepted Votto tore his Achilles and was out for the year - would you veto? I think not.

Well said. Majority of the league agrees as well. I can't believe that Yahoo has only a 1/3 rd of league for Vetoes. Crazy!

Even if Guerra was still closer, id rather have the Arod side but nothing wrong with the deal. Guerra just happens to lose his job (that HAPPENS with closers haha), there are plenty of people who just dont like Arod at this point as much as he used to be valued, Johan may be a mirage but he started so well and hey maybe he is back. Wouldnt blink at this one

Four votes out of a 12 team league is too few. Guys will vote to veto a trade so someone does not improve their team. There needs to be at least 50% of the league to veto.
