Sooo Kevin Youkilis was dropped a few days ago..... Some reports say that he will be back mayyybe mid May. Either way, Gardner comes off the DL hopefully today. In my league we get one DL spot. Would it be a good idea to snag Youk and hold him until he is better (no one else is injured on my team)? I know Middlebrooks has taken over for him, but they clearly stated once Youk is back he is the started, which is a given. Is he worth stashing? He could be a huge asset to my squad!
NOTE: I did this with Ryan Dempster and couldn't be happier. Preying on the injured coming back is a huge strategic edge! I just want to make sure I am not missing anything here..........

If you could grab the Greek G-d of Walks ( I know he is not greek...but just love the nikname)...without dropping anyone until he comes off the DL...the do it. No harm no foul...and I agree...he should turn it around and contribute at sooner than later.

I definitely think he's worth stashing. Who will you drop for him? Sale and his sore elbow? Parker?

I definitely think you can benefit by picking him up. A-Rod is good to miss at least 1 game out of 8 these days, and you could play matchups at 3B otherwise. Who would you drop? Niese? You seem to have a lot of SP. Is there an innings cap in your league?

You're going to have to drop someone to activate Gardner anyway, so definitely do it.

I wish I had an empty DL spot for Youk on my team. :(
