Been bouncing offers between the Heyward owner all week and I think I can land him for LaHair, H-Rod, and Chapman. Is it worth it? There are tons of FAs that I'm looking at with the free spots I'd have (Samardzija, Zambrano, EJackson, Smyly, GFloyd, Parker, etc.) I figure that Rodriguez is going to be just another guy once Storen gets back and Chapman, while a dominant reliever, won't get me any saves and can be replaced on the wire. Thoughts? WHIR!
Hal·la·day, n. 1. every fifth day in Philadelphia. 2. a day of rest for the bullpen. 3. innings eater. 4. doc. 5. ace.
I'm all aboard this. Great sell high on LaHair, and while I like the RP, Heyward offers too much upside to not trade what is essentially spare parts for him.
Looks like you're pretty well set on the S category without H-Rod, who will have the job for another month. Great deal, Chapman's stats easily replaced. Great deal.
Love J-Hey. He's posting some very nice production despite a pedestrian average. That average will come up soon. CBS currently has him ranked as the 42nd best player in a league with somewhat similar scoring configuration to yours. I would not be shocked if he ended up being in the top 25.
I'm not that crazy about it. Chapman will get you 125 K's, with a good whip/era. As much as Marshall has struggled, he could close in time. I would get Smyly for Alvarez.

i kind of agree with this, i am a chapman owner and i told a guy that it would cost him bret lawrie for chapman.
But heyward will be a superstar by next year, he is a better player then lahair and it worth the price IMO.
