Is this trade worth doing? I don't like it on the surface because its essentially a trade to get Hamels for Braun. But Westbrook has been really good lately.
Background: I'm last in my 12 team Roto. And I just picked up Westbrook today.
Here's my roster (there are no bench spots):
A. Avila C
J. Montero C
M. Teixeira 1B
B. Phillips 2B
M. Moustakas 3B
A. Cabrera SS
E. Aybar MI
C. Pena CI
A. Rios OF
R. Braun OF
A. Jackson OF
M. Carpenter OF
G. Parra OF
D. Fowler U
S. Marcum P
B. Colon P
J. Westbrook P
J. Putz P
T. Lincecum P
J. Motte P
G. Balfour P
C. Capuano P
D. Smyly P

I'm not a fan of this trade for you. Your pitching IS weak, but take Braun out of the outfield, even though you're adding Wells, and it's really weak. No-go for me.

Well, actually your pitching is fantastic. How much longer will it be fantastic is the question I suppose. Pretty much all the pitchers you have are playing above their ability right now, I'd say.
I wouldn't do the deal even if I were just giving up Braun for Hamels/Wells. Braun is just too good and that package is just not good enough.

This. Your pitching staff is doing great for now. That likely won't last. Giving up Braun in this deal isn't the right answer though.
