i know that everyone is saying vlad and the other expos won't fare so well this year with all of the travel and games in puerto rico, but i can't help but think playing on that small field will boost vlad's power numbers. anyone else agree or have an opinion on the matter. i am mainly concerned because i have the #1 pick in the first year of a new h2h keeper league and i am debating between arod and vlad.

Vlad will have a great year, but take ARod with the number one pick. There really is no debate about it. All things being equal, Vlad plays a much deeper position, no reason to take him with ARod on the board....

I agree. Arod should be ANYBODY'S 1st pick - unless they play in a no AROD league!!

I'm pretty sure the majority has Vlad doing very well this year beause of the added Caribbean games and small park.

As for the ARod-Vlad mini discussion going on, I'd prefer ARod in larger leagues (such as 10+ teams) and Vlad in smaller leagues.

It's better to have Vlad (40-40) and Nomar/Jeter/Tejada than to have ARod and some SS like Edgar Renteria.

Why would you need Renteria if you have ARod?
