was just offered john jay and i see he is ranked #64 in yahoo but looking at his stats other than BA there is nothing about him that jumps out to me. How good of a player is he and what do you project his numbers to be this year?

I think he is playing way above him self right now. He was never a huge HR/RBI guy in the minors. But he will give you an AVG around .300 and has a chance to steal 10-15 bases. I think you would be buying high right now if you did deal for him... but obviously depends on what you were giving up.

what was the offer?
John Jay will hit for average, btween .290-.310, maybe give you 10-15 steals and HRS.
the problem is that they have such a deep lineup that jay is batting 7th or 8th when he would benefit a lot more in leadoff or 2nd.

How many HRs you think he will hit?

honestly 10-15, anything above 15 would be great.

I think now that Craig is back and when Berkman comes back Jay will likely lose some playing time.

Jay's average is what really makes him look good right now, but his BABIP is .397. I don't know what your offer is, but I wouldn't be willing to part with much to get him.

I wouldn't trade anything for him unless it was a Keeper/dynasty league.
