Closers for Bourn, WHIR

Postby Bherman13 » Tue May 08, 2012 11:49 pm

I was offered Chris Perez and Brett Myers for Michael Bourn. I refused to pay for saves during the draft, and I'm suffering for it. With the league being so deep, I'm afraid to give up one of my top hitters. What do you guys think?

As you can see, his pitching is almost entirely closers. And Papelbon is untouchable.

Too steep for low level closers. Myers will be traded at the deadline and then you are back where you started minus Bourn. Try to deal a bench bat for one of those scrub closers? maybe a schafer for aceves kind of swap. SAGNOF!

Fantasy sports are ruled by the 50-50-90 rule...

Anytime you have a 50/50 choice between two players, 90% of the time, you'll get it wrong

You're giving up too much. Bourne leads the majors in hits. If he wants him, make him give up more than what he is currently offering.

I like the way the deal for Aceves sounds as stated above.

Don't like that deal for you at all.

I offered him Schafer for Aceves and he countered with Gardner for Aceves. I'm not a huge fan of Gardner's playing time before he got injured... so the only real issue I have is that Gardner is in a DL spot, so I'd have to drop a player. Should I take the trade and if I do should I drop Ackley or Valverde? Or Someone else?
