Classi buy low, sell high. Depending on needs, this is a pretty fair deal. I like Beckett to bounce back (with all the rest of the Sox players) should be a good #3-#4 starting pitcher on your staff.
I say, yes.

Fantasy sports are ruled by the 50-50-90 rule...
Anytime you have a 50/50 choice between two players, 90% of the time, you'll get it wrong

Agreed. Lahair will fall off and I think Beckett should be a half decent option this year.

I don't know.. I like LaHair.
LaHair has been hot, but his babip is .535 which is through the roof.. no way he's going to keep this up. he's going to come down some and as a result so will his production. that being said.. he's had pretty solid stats in the minors so I think he is legit with power and avg. Just not in these extreme numbers. In his last three years in AAA (2009-2011) he has avg'd 29.5 Hr and 91.5 rbi. That's pretty good.
Beckett will rebound and have a solid year.. but nothing wonderful. I see a 9-8 record, or something close.
I keep LaHair as his ceiling is higher, but you could make a case either way.
Help out?

LaHair is having a crazy good year so far and is obviously gonna come down to earth sometime, but I do think he has a good chance of having a really solid year. Not an easy choice at all, but depending on what I needed would decide if I accept or not. But if you can find someone desperate enough in your league, I think you MIGHT be able to sell him high for more than Beckett.
