That's great that you have that much confidence in him. There's no way to say who is right or wrong at this point.
My opinion is that he doesn't have the track record to support the early numbers and
he WILL slump at some point this season, probably soon. When that happens we will see how much confidence that Leyland has in him. Dirks' strikeouts are on the rise and Boesch has been on fire. We'll see what happens next.
Just about everybody goes through a slump, at some point, every season.

That's basically all I was saying. I still think Dirks is solid, people should just temper their expectations. From what I've read, it sounds like you have.
