Just looking for some fantasy advice. I've never really looked at hitter vs. pitcher stats, but I'm starting to now. Tonight, should I sit Melky (who's been hot) since he's lefty vs. lefty versus Kershaw (and 0-2 AB)? Also, Zobrist has been awful and he's 1-9 AB vs. Nova? Sit him too?
I would choose between Altuve, Harper and Trout in their place (most likely Altuve and Harper). Or do I ride out Zobrist and Melky"?? Thanks!

Sometimes I feel that one can over-think their lineups. How do you know that Zobrist, after 8 hitless at-bats, won't finally figure out Nova? How do you know that Kershaw won't have an off night and Cabrera will benefit? Okay, that last one is a stretch, but sometimes it's best just to see what happens with the main guys you've got. Looking at matchups is fine until you get burned by 'the odds'.
I would sit mid-tier batters against tough pitchers, so you could sit Cabrera for Harper/Trout. Altuve has been hitting very well, so if you need to keep your average up you could sub out Zobrist for tonight. However, you might miss out on a solid multi-category game by Zobrist. I'd stick with Zobrist.
