I am fine with it. I think Chapman still has pretty good value even if he isn't a closer. Saying that I like the trade. I am not much of a Fister believer though and I think Wainwright is going to have a solid second half.

I havent heard anything about Wainwright's innings being limited, and I dont see why they would. I know he's coming back from Tommy John surgery, but thats surgery on his elbow, not his shoulder. I dont see why he would get an innings limit.

He looks like he is putting it together a bit ... but do you worry that he'll be mediocre? Just want to make sure this trade is not likely to blow up in my face.

I'm not worried about Wainwright this year, I think he can be good for a 3.20 ERA, 1.17ish WHIP and a solid amount of wins and K's. He could even do better than that in ERA and WHIP, but based on what he's done so far, thats my prediction.

Chapman should get a ton of K's and a good ERA/WHIP, but is just a middle reliever. Fister should have a good ERA/WHIP as usual but not a lot of K's, and a decent amount of wins.
I think Wainwright is a top 20 pitcher this year and you just have to take that and run with it.
