Hamels has always been a little b*tch and this just confirms it. I hope he gets a Saints style bounty put on his ass. Maybe Gio or Strasburg will put one on his ear or pitching elbow next series to show him "how the game is played". Such a pussy move by Cole

lolumad?
It's funny because here in Philly people never give him the credit he deserves because he's perceived as soft (mainly because of his voice lacking bass) when really he's just California cool. Now he does something to get his 'street cred' or tough guy status up and people hate him for it. Can't win.
Hal·la·day, n. 1. every fifth day in Philadelphia. 2. a day of rest for the bullpen. 3. innings eater. 4. doc. 5. ace.

What? Are you kiding me? this is a ridiculous statement. WHat has he done snce hes been called up to the Nats that is even remotely considered being "above the game"?
Hes done nothing but hustle, play spectacular defense, and produce, show surprising maturity in all his interviews, and you you think "he needs to be humbled"? That is just plain ignorant.

Oh the irony.

The problem is that pitchers can get away with almost anything becasue MLB never gives them a penalty that anyone takes seriously. And he doesnt get credit because he IS soft. now he tries to play the "tough guy" and is stupid enough to admit he did it on purpose. so not only is he a little b*tch, but hes a stupid little b*tch.

What about Zimmerman, his plunking intentional, if not admitted, what kind of move would you call that.

I agree. the problem is a starting pitcher doesn't miss a start. I haven't heard whether Hames plans to appeal, but most of the time they do. right now Hamels is scheduled to pitch Saturday against the Padres. more than likely Hamels will appeal, pitch Saturday, then drop the appeal. if Hamels was not suspended then his next start after Saturday would be Thursday in Chicao. if he drops the appeal and serves a 5 game suspension, instead of pitching Thursday he misses 5 games and pitches Friday against Boston. there's no punishment there. (unless you count having to face the Red Sox rather than the Cubs).
