5x5 Roto League that uses OBP instead of BA 12 Teams

We start 2 closers, and with Mariano going down....I NEED a closer.

I've been offered 2 trades....one a safe one, one a gamble

Trade A: I trade away Ervin Santana for Frank Fransisco

Trade B: I trade away Nelson Cruz, for Martiin Prado and Chris Sale (just named the closer for the White Sox)

Here is my Pitching Staff: Lester/Strasburg/Jaime Garcia/Matt Moore/Brandon Beachy/Drabek/Lilly/Milone (we start 7)
Here are my OF's (McCutchen, Cruz, Stubbs, Willingham, Pagan, Duda, Schaeffer, Morrison) We start 5 OFS

I don't know if I'd do either, but I guess I'd lean B??? Probably because I own Cruz and he's pissing me off though.

Option A isn't terrible, but I'm skeptical Frank Frank holds the job.

I'd probably make a speculative setup man add...or snap up Cashner and/or Gregerson if available.

yea, i would say the santana trade is the safer one, in that I could pick up a closer as it seems theres a new one every week

Im just worried about making the prado deal that Cruz begins to go OFF and makes me look like an ass.....although Prado is off to a nice start looking like he might have the season he had 2 yrs ago.

any more advice would be appreciated

Love Trade B with Prado and Sale - you're going to get a ton of Saves out of Sale, and Prado is a solid trade off for Cruz. I'd be all over that.

I guess I would lean towards Trade B if you had to. Are there any FA closers at all? There has been a lot of turnover and it sounds like you only start 24 closers in your league, leaving 6 (pending the outcome of the Cubs' situation. I think all of the other 29 teams have a closer who is named for now, at least). I am not sure Francisco will last and I think Cruz is too much for a closer.

we only get 1 pick up a week, i used mine already this week.....so If i dont make a trade Im going to go a week with only 1 closer, considering I went this week without mariano as well. So gonna be 2 weeks with only 1 closer. dont wanna fall too far behind in that ctgry.

cruz for Sale/prado is the best offer ive had so far

or santanna for Fransisco....then I can use my pickup this week to try and get one of the cubs relievers, or even Heath Bells replacement if they choose to make a move there.

I like trade A better...even though Francisco isn't a lock to stay closer for a bad Mets team, Sale isn't a guarantee to stay at closer either, the sox may want to move him back to the rotation at some point. You have to give a lot more to get Sale--and I'm not sold Prado

Honestly, i might offer Stubbs for Sale straight-up and see if it works.
