It happens to all of us. Like MLB teams, we have a fantasy week where everything implodes. What's your worst week that you remember?
Pretty sure this is the week for my team...try and beat this...
-Team was 3-0 heading into the week (H2H points): -Lee and Luebke hit the DL. Lee should be fine, but I'm reading Luebke might need TJ? Makes sense, I just traded Rickie Weeks/Bud Norris for him. -This will force me to trade one of my solid hitters so far...Andre Ethier...for Tommy Hanson (another big injury risk). -Halladay gives up 8 ER in his one start. -With my offense not producing, I deal Ackley/J. Garcia/Valverde for Kinsler/Nolasco/Henry Rod. 1 hour later... -Mo Rivera tears his ACL shagging flyballs in KC. With both of my premier closers gone... -I deal Henderson Alvarez (and his awful forecaster ratios like FIP - even my leaguemates presume its a fluke) for Scott Downs. Alvarez immediately tosses a CG SHO. A SP who doesn't K anyone and owned a FIP of close to 6 going into the start shouldn't be dealing. -I pick up Anthony Bass. He and Josh Johnson - both on my team -combine to surrender 12 in the Marlins-Padres game at Petco. -Oh yeah...I own Pujols and his 0 HR's. He and my offense is hitting a robust .230 this week.
My SP's are headlined by Verlander/Halladay/Lee with Luebke waiting in the wings, so I felt I had the depth to deal Jaime. Same situation with Valverde (owned Rivera too), especially when Dustin Ackley was my one 2B (Kinsler better mash). Didn't count on both Rivera/Luebke going down for the year literally hours after the trade. Then, the hitter's pinada that is Alvarez spins a 6-hit CG SHO on his way out the door. Excellent week.
Obviously my team is being slaughtered. Can't wait for Monday!
P.S. As I mentioned in the closers thread, my team is now settling a reliever logjam by having a 3-way reliever-style deathmatch between Scott Downs, Rafael Soriano and Andrew Cashner. Whoever is without a closing job when Lee returns from the DL gets shown the door.

Nothing stat wise but in a league where we have 3 DL spots that were already filled with Berkman, Crawford, Morse...I lose Luebke, Pablo, Reimold, Youkilis this week. I have an --empty-- OF and Util until I drop someone that I really don't want to or force a trade.
Hal·la·day, n. 1. every fifth day in Philadelphia. 2. a day of rest for the bullpen. 3. innings eater. 4. doc. 5. ace.

Wow. i am in a similar situation with Sandoval , Reimold and Longoria. Beltran has a hammy issue and I have no one on my bench to put in for him, and i used my 4th and last pickup this week on De Aza to replace Reimold. (Who I picked up for Lorenzo cain after I finally lost patience in waiting for him to come off the DL.

lol why in the world did you draft all of Youk, Crawford, Berkman?? you had to expect this to happen at some point.
Well Crawford was an obvious stash at what I felt was a reasonable round. Youk was acquired via trade (Lawrie for Youk, D Gordon) and Berkman looked in great shape last year playing 145. I guess I shouldn't have drafted Pablo either since he broke his hamate before and is fat?

We need some math guy to break down the actual % of each player's DL time and DL time expected per season, then figure in given said percentages what would teh chance you would have this many hurt all at once. Probably like 0.1%

Well, hopefully this doesn't sidetrack the thread that you've started here, but i'm actually having the worst year ever so far. My draft looked like this:
Keepers (4); Braun (OK, but slow out of the gate) Fielder (power outage) Granderson (doing fine, but I traded) Hanley (Not great)
Round 1 - Michael Morse (bust, hurt) Round 2 - Shin-Soo Choo (ineffective thus far, hurt some this season) Round 3 - Buster Posey (again, good, but i traded him as well) Round 4 - Adam Wainwright (tough start to the season) Round 5 - Tommy Hanson (again, slow start, not bad, but definitely not great) Round 6 - Daniel Hudson (hurt) Round 7 - Matt Garza (actually a good little surprise, can't complain here) Round 8 - Huston Street (hurt) Round 9 - Ryan Roberts (sucks, dropped) Round 10 - Joakim Soria (hurt, dropped) Round 11 - Dustin Ackley (sucks, dropped) Round 12 - Bryce Harper (merely the speculative add at this point in a keeper) Round 13 - Brennan Boesch (was expecting a breakout....)
There's obviously more, but the theme continues. Only good for 8th place so far.
