About as depressed as I've been in a long time, from a sports perspective.

I hate the Yankees as much as anyone and this news really bummed me out.
http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?conte ... 128441&v=3 Video of the injury. Best angle at 1:10
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!

Says Joe Girardi...“It appears he has a torn ACL.. If that’s what it is, it’s pretty much as bad as it gets.”
Damn.
Meanwhile ARod and Tex with more clutch 9th inning chokes.

Absolutely devastating. The greatest closer in the history of baseball doesn't deserve to end his career like this. Terrible.

Exit Sandman..
Awful..sad day in sports. This year was supposed to be his swan song..I'd love to see him rehab the hell out of it and sign a pro-rated 1 year deal after the Break next season. But at his age and with his accomplishments.. who could blame him if he didn't have the motivation. We'll miss you MO
Why don't they just get a house that's already painted?

Interviewing Mo on YES right now...this is heartbreaking man. Him and Bernie were my favorite players growing up. Tears in his eyes, said he doesn't know if he'll pitch again.

I'm with you. Mo was a hero for me growing up. This is so tough to see. Hearing him talking about staying with the team in KC instead of going back to the NY doctors is just the icing on the cake. He's a real class act.

If Rivera wants to pitch again, he'll find a way to make it back.
