Hanson and Pierzynski for Kimbrel? WHIR

Postby baxnet » Wed May 02, 2012 10:38 am

Should I offer up this trade? My Hanson and Pierzynski for Craig Kimbrel?

10 team H2H

Here's my pitching lineup:

I have Napoli to put at catcher in replacement of Pierzynski.

While I am not a big closer guy, I think the value of an elite closer can't go unnoticed, especially this year with so many borderline guys being AWFUL.

So in light of that, and in light of the persistent concern that Hanson's shoulder could be less than teflon, I say do it. Napoli will fill in well there.

I think I would be ok with this. Like sigriffey said, closers are pretty bad right now so getting one of the more sure things is fine with me. Usually I don't like dealing for closers but you aren't losing all that much and Hanson has a better shot at hitting the DL than Kimbrel does.
