Brett Lawrie for Evan Longoria WHIR

Postby baegames » Tue May 01, 2012 6:20 pm

I have Jed Lowrie on my bench. There are no quality 3b left.

Do I offer Brett Lawrie for Evan Longoria and then start Lowrie for 6-8 weeks or do I ask for more?

You take a hit at 3B but if he takes that deal and Longoria comes back relatively soon its a great move by you.

I would rather have Lawrie for 5 months than Longo for 3.

I don't see the point here. Who knows how long Longoria will be out. And Lawrie is doing fine, so why rock the boat?

I'd actually take Longoria in this. Obviously it's a risk but it's a risk worth taking, IMO atleast.

It would help if we knew whether this was a keeper league or not. If it is not a keeper league, then there's no way that I trade Lawrie for Longoria. If it is a keeper league, then that answers could get a lot more interesting depending on what people view Lawrie's ceiling to be.

If it was a broken bone I'd consider it, but I hate speculating on muscle/ligament injuries. Hard to come back at 100%.

Plus Lawrie is playing well. He's gonna have a great year. Gotta stay put.

Lawrie is only a step or two behind a healthy Longoria. Take away 2 months from Longoria and it's not even close. Pass!
