It is crazy to think about it since he isn't even 30 yet but David Wright's best years might actually be behind him. Still, when you consider his overall production thus far and the positional scarcity at 3B, Wright is still a very valuable commodity and, barring continual injuries, should continue to be one for several more years. As much as I like Trout and think he could pan out and be a multiple-time all star, I think you would have to pull the trigger on that deal (even without seeing your roster or scoring format).

In most cases I would say take the known commodity in Wright. Kinda depends on if your team is build to win now or in a more of a rebuilding mode.

he also has beltre and hanley would it be better to trade for one of those two instead throw in some other players

I would definitely take that deal. Wright still has many years of productiveness ahead of him at a much more scarce position. I always take the sure thing over a prospect.
