Offer on the table:
I give: Jake Peavy, Jesus Montero, Corey Hart
I get: Hunter Pence, Jack Johnson

Team at the bottom.

I'm thinking I should take this. The guy is desperate for a catcher, and I've been peddling Peavy since his hot start. Thoughts?

I wouldnt do this. I agree sell peavy high but i think you can do better then this. Corey Hart and Pence are basically the same. Try and find something better

I agree. I don't think this trade is worth it. Montero is hitting very well and is tied for second most rookie RBIs with Seattle since 1986. He's only going to improve. I agree Pence is equal to Corey Hart. I just don't see this trade working in your favor. Peavy's 3-1 with 33 k's already. Stick with it.

Help?

Stick with who you have here. Pence doesn't have a ton of value unless Howard and Utley return to full strength. Not worth breaking the bank for at this point.

Pence is just about equal to Hart in terms of value...maybe a tad bit more, but really, I'd call that a push.

If that "Jack" Johnson is Josh Johnson...then I actually like Peavy more than him. AND you have to throw in Montero? Where exactly is the value in doing this trade? I like the players you're giving up more.
(In reference to an Aaron Hill for David Price swap)
