I just missed out on Davis in one league now that Longo is down so I grabbed up Alvarez, hope he's solid for 6-8 weeks

how come the column marked "K" has only one zero in it, but all the other columns have lots and lots of zeros?

lol.. good point, but you have to admit the power is encouraging. he's probably streaky and he'll probly never hit for high avg, but if he could be a dunn/pena/reynolds (in their primes) type hitter.. thats not too shabby

He will stike out a lot, but the numbers are still encouraging. Plus with Longo and now possibly Sandoval going down, he could be a solid replacement. His recent streak has brought his average from .074 to .242.

Youkilis is on the DL too with a partially torn Youkilis. You could do a lot worse than Alvarez as a replacement.

Partial torn Youkilis isn't a very common injury either so hard to say how long it will take to recover
