Hultzen might be a few good weeks and outings to the majors, that's what many folks and articles have said (have him in reserve in no pickup AL league and have been following). Right after ASB..IF he performs well of course

Havent followed franklin as closely

How can the Blue Jays justify keeping D'Arnaud in AAA, when their supposed "power hitting" catcher hasn't homered in a month, and is hitting about .170 since May 21?

Kid's earned a look.

Wouldn't be surprised if he's called up in the next couple of weeks to DH and occasionally catch while learning the MLB ropes. But I also think he'll struggle a fair bit -- your dog could hit at least five homers and bat .210 in Las Vegas. Not saying d'Arnaud isn't a future star, only that I doubt he'll live up to the hype right away.

Sounds like Rizzo will be up on June 23rd...just as previously reported, in order to preserve team control for an extra year

Derek Norris just got called up for the A's

Athletics recalled C Derek Norris from Triple-A Sacramento.
Norris has posted a .273/.331/.474 batting line with eight home runs and 36 RBI in 236 plate appearances this season at the Triple-A level. Acquired from the Nationals in December's Gio Gonzalez trade, the 23-year-old former fourth-round pick is widely regarded as one of the top catching prospects in baseball. With Kurt Suzuki struggling mightily, Norris should see semi-regular playing time behind the plate in Oakland.

Probably more of a deep league/2 catcher/Al only type pickup I would guess at this point but if he plays and plays well and shows something..

Is this speculation or do you have a source?

The Chicago dailies, which presumably have access to front office sources, have been reporting this for days. Newspapers don't typically go out on a limb without having the info to back it up.

Athletics head coach Bob Melvin said Kurt Suzuki and Derek Norris will split playing time moving forward.
