Just left the game with an apparent knee injury. No word as to the severity, but he did walk off under his own power. Fingers crossed.

Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times hears that Evan Longoria has a hamstring issue which could keep him out for 6-8 weeks.
Longoria left Monday's game with what was originally described as left knee soreness, but it turns out that the injury is actually to his hamstring. While it could have been much worse, the Rays could very well be without their best player until July. We should hear an official update at some point on Tuesday, but fantasy owners would be wise to secure an alternative.

what do the Rays do in the meantime? does Elliot Johnson play regular now? is there someone in the minors hitting well that comes up? do they trade for someone to play 3B?

Evan Longoria has been taken multiple times in the first round, but has NEVER returned first round value/production

This sucks. He was having a great start to the season. Especially with the batting average, which I wasn't expecting. Huge blow.

Probably looking at a mix of Keppinger, Johnson, Rodriguez, maybe even Brignac if he gets recalled. Doesn't look like much consistent help for fantasy teams, but happy to be pointed in the direction of one...
