Offer Dunn/Hamels for Fielder??

I've been looking at an upgrade at either of my corner spots (3B or 1B) and I believe that I have the opportunity to make an upgrade but it would cost me Adam Dunn and Cole Hamels. Previously, I had been trying to offer some of my outfield depth (Cespedes, Alex Gordon) to improve at 3B or 1B but, not surprisingly, the other owners seem to like Hamels better as the other player in the deal. So, in a 20 team H2H keeper league, would you trade Adam Dunn & Cole Hamels for Prince Fielder?? Certainly Fielder is a step up from Adam Dunn and helps in ever offensive category except steals but would my starting pitching survive?

For my league, we count AVG, R, HR, RBI, SB, OPS, and Assists. For pitching, we count Wins, ERA, WHIP, K, Holds, Saves and Complete Games.

As much as I think that that trade is a no brainer, your pitching would take a HUGE hit.. and I don't think its worth it...

You're so weak at pitching I have to say no. If you had one more quality arm it would be definite yes.

Can you get a pitcher thrown in that could lessen the blow? Who's on his roster for arms? I wouldn't do it as is, but if you can get a pitcher thrown in I would consider it.

Thanks. While I understand what you mean about my starting pitching staff, this is a 20 team league, so you aren't going to see the loaded pitching staffs that you are used to seeing in the 10 and 12 team leagues, which are a lot more common.

As for his staff, he has Strasburg, Masterson, Worley, Holland, Jason Hammel, Arietta, and Detwiler.

I like Worley from that group but, if he is smart, he probably won't trade him.

I honestly like the deal. Dunn is mashing right now, but he can easily go into one of his K streaks and batt just over.200. Giving up Hamels is tough, but you have Gio to anchor your staff. Id say yes.. but it is close.
