I have been proposed a trade in which I give up Joey Votto for Bryce Harper, Lance Berkman, and Johnny Damon. This is a keeper league, so Harper provides real value here, even if he doesn't stay in the majors this year, but so does Votto. Fortunately, I've also been proposed a trade in which I receive Albert Pujols, Jayson Werth, Tommy Milone, and Chris Carpenter for Desmond Jennings, Ben Zobrist, CC Sabathia, and Zach Greinke. I think that if I accept both trades, I will be better off, especially in the long run. Any thoughts appreciated! Thanks! (and, yes, there are 11 batting cats and 12 pitching cats)

I would deny both trades, I like your team better as is.
Also judging by your team I'd guess the league isn't a very deep one, and unless your keeper rules allow you to hold a player for multiple years I don't think Harper's value will be worth losing Votto.

I don't know about those trades. Your pitching would be cut very short with the second trade. Also you have to think with that first trade, its a 3 for 1 for are the two guys you are dropping to make the trade a lot worse then what your getting. Damon would be the worst OF on your team as it is now. So you would potentially have to drop a better OF for him. Votto is better then Berkman. Harper is going to be a stud though. But I would say no to both trades.
Thanks guys. It's not terribly deep, so it really frustrates me sometimes when I have to drop someone whom I think is going to be picked up immediately, only every other team in the league has the same problem, so he sits in free agency. And we can keep guys for three years, so I might be saving myself the pain of trading for Harper, only to see him fall back into the draft in a few years to someone else right as he's hitting his prime. Izenhart: I see you have Parra on your bench. He's available in my league. Pick him up? Thanks again!
Easily I mean (EASILY) pass on both. Desmond Jennings, Ben Zobrist, CC Sabathia, and Zach Greinke You'd be FOOLISH to give up a good young 2b OF and 1 of 2 SP that are your ace. Sabathia MIGHT be getting up there in years but he's a horse and a stud until he proves us otherwise. FAR AWAY!
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
