The Doc is in...? WHIR 100%

Postby billycent » Sun Apr 29, 2012 11:57 am

Big trade on the table where I would receive Halladay. My B.J. Upton and Darvish for his Halladay and Alex Gordon. This would make Span my everyday CF (which might not b a bad thing the way he's played... got me by just fine to start the season) and Gordon would become my 4th OF or utility once I can move Montero to C. And obviously this trade strengthens my rotation. What does anyone think? Leave a link and I got u right back.

14 Team 10x10 H2H Keeper league... 5 keepers

c - Carlos Ruiz
1b - Mark Teixeira
2b - Rickie Weeks
3b - Kevin Youkilis
ss - Astrubal Cabrera
mi - Alcides Escobar
ci - Mark Reynolds
lf - Ryan Braun
cf - B.J. Upton
rf - Jay Bruce
of - Nolan Reimold
u - Jesus Montero
bench - Denard Span and Chris Johnson
sp - Johan Santana, Tim Lincecum, Yu Darvish, Chad Billingsly, Brandon Morrow, Jason Hammel, Drew Smyly, Carlos Zambrano, and Jorge De La Rosa (DL)
rp - John Axford, Carlos Marmol, and Jonathan Broxton

I like this trade for you. ;-D

When can you move Jesus to Catcher?

Basically:
OLD- C- Ruiz, CF- BJ Upton, U- J Montero, SP- Darvish
NEW- C- J Montero, CF- Span, U- A Gordon, SP- Halladay

New seems much better to me!

First..I like your team. Your picthing would be awesome. Second...go do this deal. I like it a lot for you. Darvsh is great, but Halladay is more proven and will play through Sept (when you make playoffs). I also like Gordon over BJ. Just never bought into his hype. Like him playing better this year, but Gordon will score more points in my opinion as the gap between KC and TB line-up strength is not as great as it once was. Good luck!

Help with mine please?

Montero needs 5 more starts at C to gain eligibility... soo I'm thinking prob another 2-3 weeks, sooner if Olivio misses any time.

This trade would definitely upgrade your team in a lot of ways, as you're shedding a bad batting average but keeping just about everything else Upton would have offered you by getting Gordon. And you're getting a sure thing in Doc, while shedding a (still, relatively speaking) unknown with Darvish.

Once you get to dump Ruiz and slide Montero in, that team is ready to dominate.
(In reference to an Aaron Hill for David Price swap)
