(1) Johnson - by far, #1 on this list in terms of everything (consistency and job security)
(2) Downs
(3) Jensen - would be #1 if he was the closer
(4) Marmol
(5) Francisco
(6) Santiago

first tier
Jim Johnson - secure, strop may have better stuff but showalter will stick with him. i mean they stuck with kevin gregg for some time. orioles are loyal

second tier (questions)

Frank Francisco -i doubt collins changes things up yet
Marmol - has many walks as strikeouts but still incumbent
H Santiago - addison reed hanging around and sites talk about him being closer of the future. job was up for grabs in spring training so a lot of other candidates right there if santiago fails
K Jenson better stuff than guerra, team is contention so might go with him sooner than later but dodgers still winning.

third tier
Downs - everything i read said walden got demoted but is in the wings to retake the job when he figures it out. also angels are not playing well. downs career setup man. goes up to second tier for short term.
please help with my team! WHIR!

johnson > downs > marmol > francisco > jenson > santiago

Kinda who's who of crappy closers

Johnson #1 by far.. after that it's all downhill.

I like downs right now. He's been rock steady for several years and I think he does just fine with this job.

francisco and marmol are interchangeable. I have faith in neither, tho marmol is safer in his job.

jenson would be higher if he was an actual closer. until then it's hard to rank him high as a closer.

santiago is all but done. my opinion...

I think this was a pretty good assessment... I value Marmol more than most and probably have him just behind Johnson though. Thnx for the help on mine.

1). Jim Johnson--job security, and actually is halfway decent.
2). Hector Santiago--job security (despite what most people think), and will get it together.
3). Carlos Marmol--job security, offers a lot of K's, but will hurt your WHIP.
4). Frank Francisco--has the job for now. not too confident in him.
5). Scott Downs--has job for now, won't last though.
6). Jensen--Doesn't even have the job, and won't ever get the job.
(In reference to an Aaron Hill for David Price swap)

I'm curious as to why you say that? Guerra has been blowing saves lately, and Jensen did get the last opp.
