Hamilton/Tulo trade (How'd I do? and who do I pick up) WHIR

Traded Josh Hamilton high.

Josh Hamilton and Desmond Jennings for Andrew McCutchen and Troy Tulowitzki

I then will drop Erick Aybar for an OF (best available OF: John Jay, Brandon Belt, Jeff Francoeur, Eric Thames, Denard Span, Juan Pierre, Alex Presley, Dexter Fowler, Kirk Niewenhuis, Gerardo Parra).

Two questions:

(1) How'd I do?
(2) What OF do I grab? (6 offensive categories, including OPS)

1. You sold high. I like it
2. I would go with Span for now. He is swinging a hot bat right now

I like the trade as well. Span would be my pickup as well.

Since it seems inevitable that Hamilton will hit the DL at some point, you did a good job on this trade.

Parra is the hottest right now. He is leading off today too. Might want to go with him while he's hot and C Young is on the DL.

my thought exactly. I picked up Parra a few days ago and he's been pretty hot & seeing regula playing time. I'd ride him for now

thanks for the help with mine

i applaud your ability/discipline to trade hamilton. as a hamilton owner, i know the possibility he'll land on the dl is very high, but i can't get myself to sell hamilton. you got some great players back too. nice trade.

I like the trade. I worry about McCrutchen though, the team just does not score enough runs. I am also a Hamilton owner and I agree he will make the DL at some point, but don't forget it is a contract year. Players seem to gut things out during a contract year if they can. I expect Hamilton to have a big year get his contract and then go back to the DL every other month next year. I also predict the same thing for Wright.
