2 weeks ago i dropped mike trout bc i was told by a inside source he would not be up until midseason, well lo and behold i was watching the yankee game to see a blurb that bobby abreu was just released, as i raced to my computer to add him, i find he has already been filled 5 minutes ago, so did i make a mistake in dropping him in the first place?

The Angels outfield was reeling all year. It was only a matter of time that Trout would be called up. Are there other outfield options in your league?

See if you can make a trade for a decent OF who has underachieved so far.

No, it's not the worst decision. I've earned myself a solid 2-2 start to the season by having guys like Harper, Trout, and Bauer eat up roster spots in a REDRAFT league since the draft. THAT is stupid, and I'll admit it. There's no telling what Trout will do. My guess is, until he adapts a little, that Trout will have a slow start. Wait for the % owned numbers to taper off and for the name brand to cool down, and then if you're really kicking yourself still try and pitch a decent offer for him. My gut feeling is you won't feel like you missed out on much.

That is hardly the worst decision ever--don't sweat it. The odds that he explodes right away and stays on the roster isn't as high as you'd think. As long as it's not a keeper league, the decision you made was a completely reasonable one.
