Last move for the week...Drop Volquez for? [Always WHIR]

I think I have made some solid moves this week both for streaming and to firm up my bench and OF as best I can without making a trade (which does not seem available at the moment).

I have one move left and I am wondering if I should use it on a mediocre streaming option for tomorrows games or pick up one of several FA listed below who I am interested in and think are having/could have breakout years?

I own volquez and am sticking with him. His stuff and that park will result in decent numbers, his whip is the concern.

I also own millone and saunders (always solid early in the yr)

Parker might be worth grabbing.

OVerall, i stick with volquez. Just my 2 cents

A lot of the guys you're considering have had hot starts, but looking at their history you'd expect a serious regression. Out of the bunch I like Milone and Nolasco, but keep an eye on Parker and evaluate after a few more starts. I'd agree with holding onto Volquez for now.

If this is a keeper, you should be all over Parker. Bard also looked very good last night.

However, assuming this is a non-keeper, I'd drop Volquez and pick up Hammel, who looks to be putting it together now that he's away from Coors. A close second is Bard, who could also help you in the bullpen if he switches roles.

Smyly is too unproven....and facing the yanks this weekend....not a gamble I like...but maybe after watching him tomorrow I will change my mind.

I just checked Volquez's matchups next week MIL and MIA in Petco...I think I will hang with him.

I know Hammel will be gone if he has another stellar outing against the yanks...so far he has beaten MIN, TOR x2 and CWS...not exactly like facing the yanks offense or the Sox later in the week.

Heh...completely forgot how bad the yanks were against young kids they have never seen...hindsight is 20/20
