My Aviles and Niese for Gio Gonzalez. I like Aviles' versatility, but got Howie at second, Tulo at short and Freese at third. I want to upgrade a mediocre staff outside Verlander...Thoughts?
Quick help in return...

I'd make that trade. Gio has a better track record and Aviles could lose playing time as the season progresses.

Pretty even deal, but I think Niese's value isn't terribly far off from Gio's -- a hair or two behind. Niese has looked great this year, and he was terribly unlucky last year, resulting in highly inflated stats. I like Aviles as long he's leading off. Really just depends on your infield depth, I suppose.

Thanks for the replies. I countered with Aviles, Bartolo and McCarthy for basically Gio (he has 2 streamed pitchers he can drop in a 3 for 1) I know he likes Bartolo and McCarthy had a solid away start last night for a change. Think it's enough or should I just give in and send Niese and Aviles for Gio? Trying to avoid trading Niese
Thoughts?...

That's more like it. Bartolo and McCarthy are guys I'd feel comfortable starting only if they're in Oakland. I do think Aviles will take a significant step forward this year, though.

He countered with Romero for Aviles and Colon. I took it.
New question:
Drop McCarthy for Bud Norris (2 home starts this week and looking at schedule solid outings for most of May)
McCarthy has to go to Fenway on Wednesday, wont be using him for that one...
Quick help in return...
