With LaHair off to a solid start for the Cubs does Rizzo make it to Chicago this year? If so when do you think he will be up? I have him stashed away, I live in Des Moines and he is tearing it up for the I-Cubs!!!

I hope (think?) that he'll be up by the end of Summer too.

I feel like Jackson is supposed to come up before Rizzo, not sure how things will go down with them and I have seen with Boston over the years with Theo that they don't necessarily rush players into the league. Theo has stated he wants him and Jackson in the minors for seasoning and they have no desirable trade pieces in that log jam of an outfield. I can't see anyone thinking Dejesus or Soriano is an answer for a playoff push. That being said I think you are looking at the standard roster expansion call up at the end of the minor league season here no matter how good he does just because Epstein is notorious for making deals with his prospects so if Rizzo rakes at AAA and never really embarrasses himself at the big show he will be extremely desirable to trade as well.

Well he is off to a great start offensively. I know that they want him to work on his defense a little but he is crushing the ball down here in Des Moines and I was just curious. I have read and heard that they are not in any rush to bring him up but I also know that Theo loves the guy as he was the center piece in the Gonzalez to Boston deal.... I hope he gets the call and does well, and so does my fantasy team!!!

Rizzo will be up at some point, however in a non-keeper league I wouldn't bother rostering him and waiting it out. Even if he does get up, he has shown some struggles with his KRate against big league pitching, due to his abnormally long swing.

Jackson will almost certainly be up in June, but I would be surprised if we see Rizzo before September. Theo seems committed to giving him a full year at Iowa. LaHair is more than holding his own at first base in Chicago.
