I love this question! Yeah, they are very similar. Chacin was on my do-not-touch list coming into the season and I am sticking with that here. Chacin is out of shape and in between the ears is not overly impressive. Jim Tracy is reknowned for doghousing such guys. Outside of that, Norris has a better track record at this point. Progressively has gotten better over the last three years. Of the two, I can see Norris K rate stay the same and drop WHIP while I see Chacin keeping the high WHIP with a potential drop off elsewhere. Wins? Chacin probably better, but neither team is very good.

I would rather have Bud. Chacin is also on my do not touch list. I've never been a fan.

Whoever it is is getting cut when Fister and Lee get healthy but Bud Norris cost me my era this week with one start giving up 8 runs. At least a bad game for Chacin is 4-5 runs is my thinking. I feel that Norris' bad out bad's Chacin's bad.

I'd rather have Bud. But I'd rather not have to play him.

Norris, maybe. Why even care. Just stream a starter. Have a better shot of having a productive pitching spot than relying on either one long term.

I agree with the above post. Just stream...on any given day there could be a total fantasy scrub that outperforms both Norris and Chacin, just because of their matchup.

If I had to pick between the two, I'm picking Norris because I like his K rate and he doesn't pitch in Coors.
