Remind me which team I need to cheer against in that league. :-D

My team is solid but it's flawed and I don't think it has enough to win.

Is there some kind of inside knowledge that the Super 2 cutoff has been hit? Obviously no, but it's a bit curious that these both happen at the same time, especially with no reason for the Natinals to call up Harper.

It's not related to Super2 at all since that cutoff is in June. Additionally trout has service time from last year.

what it does mean for Harper is that they waited long enough to delay his FA by one year which is huge. Even if that year is really expensive it's awesome to have one additional year of a potential stud on your team.

The Nats do have a reason to call up Harper. Their offense is awful and zim and Morse are injured.

That's an awfully expensive upgrade. Easily could cost $20M for two months of service from a guy that has a .700 OPS in AAA.

CarGo 3/4 with 6 RBIs so far today?! His RBIs sure come in bunches, don't they?

Fans seem to like to complain about stuff like this but if it costs them an additional 20M (nearly impossible to make that in your first season of arb) then he is just silly awesome and it's still a win-win.

I also think that fans are getting fixated on the 80 or so PA's that he has already. It's not a guarantee that he struggles but if he does then he can go back to AAA and they can play the service time game.

Francisco Cordero's presence on the Jays this season puzzles me.

What will it take for Fowler to get to the next level or is he at his ceiling?

Gallardo's blowup didn't change my era and whip ranking. I will never start him against the Cards again. lol.

The $20MM he's talking about would be his last season of arb, not the first.

But as far as I've seen super 2's don't get the full amount of arb a yr early. Super 2 is less than what they would have got as a normal 1st yr arb.
