Shopping Marmol WHIR

Postby Osubball131 » Thu Apr 26, 2012 12:03 pm

I'm in a 15 Team Keeper league, 5 x 5 roto. Somehow after our opening auction I managed to find myself with only one viable closer, Marmol. Now that the season is about 20 games in I've decided to punt saves for starting pitching. Since the league is 15 Teams, closers are tough to come by but so far Marmol has been all over the place and has only recorded 1 save. I was just looking for opinions on a few players that might be within Marmol's trade value to look to trade him for. Thanks, and as always WHIR.

I don't see you getting much in return in a 1/1 deal where you are looking for a SP. You might be able to get like a Holland/E.Jackson/Cahill type. Marmol really wasn't that great last year, 10 blown saves and a high ERA and WHIP

Don't thin you should trade him. If anything I'd go in the other direction. It's really hard to win roto when you're punting a category entirely; that strategy works a lot better in H2H. Maybe move one of those SP for a decent closer.
